Elijah and Aidens Adoption

Donation protected
On January 14, 2006 into my world entered a 5lb 9oz bundle of blessings and joy. My arms, the first he felt comfort in there was an instantaneous bond between us. I did not BIRTH him yet I stayed with him during his first few weeks of life. I took the day shift, night shift and every other opportunity I could spend with him. He spent his waking hours fussing and crying like no other infant I had ever experienced. As much as I hated to leave him I had to return to my home 500 miles away. My heart ached for him daily knowing I was so far away. I spoke with his bio parents daily. With each passing day I could hear the distance and desperation in his mother's voice. I thought it could have been post partum depression when she said that she had given birth to the Devil's child and I needed to come pick him up. She informed me that if I chose not to come that she would give him to the next person walking down the street or let him rot in his swing. I was on the first flight south. Excited to see him yet afraid of what I might find I was on my way. I brought him home but grew more concerned about his developmental delays. I had him in physical therapy early in his young life then graduated to first steps to meet his other milestones necessary for a growing boy. During this time bio mom once again became pregnant. When Aiden was born mom tested positive for drugs and the doctors were concerned about his heart. Bio parents also wanted to have Elijah back and try to be a family. I had no choice but to return this special BABY and also tend to the one that had just been born. I loaded everything up and against better judgement returned Elijah to bio mom and dad. Several months went by without a word until the day I received a phone call from bio mom asking me to come and pick up both boys. I once again drove south but not without papers in hand for custody. Mom and dad both willing to sign. I took pictures of the conditions the children were living in. There were spoiled milk bottles and glasses everywhere. There were many broken things as if there had been fighting an violence. There was evidence of Elijah being locked in a dark room with no light or tv. Aiden had a flat head indicating neglect. I loaded the boys in my truck and immediately upon returning home retained an attorney and managed to get permanent custody of both children. Elijah is now 9 and Aiden is7. I need to adopt these boys so I am better able to get their special needs met. Taking care of them is not a problem for me, however the fees for the adoption are not within my reach. I have started this page so I can get them adopted and begin to provide for their special needs without difficulties from bio parents. They will give them to me but are not willing to help with anything monetary. Once the adoption is final I can better help these children to become the best that they can be. I also desire the comfort in knowing that should anything happen to me that the choice be mine to ensure they will not be returning to an abusive nor neglectful home. They are really good boys and deserve the best that life has to offer.
