Donating Hair

Tax deductible
I have been growing my hair for the past four years in order to donate 15 inches of hair to a child experiencing hair loss. This will be my second donation and something I hope to continue doing before I'm too old and grey. The Little Princess Trust donates real hair wigs to children who have suffered hair loss through various reasons (alopecia, as a result of cancer treatments, or other illnesses) and also funds research into childhood cancer.

I'm hoping this hair donation and any money raised along with it will help at least one child regain some normality and confidence during a difficult period in their life. Childhood can be testing at the best of times, so I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for a child not only contending with the typical day to day challenges they face growing up, but also dealing with an illness and suffering from hair loss as well.

The manufacture and supply of a wig is £550.00, so if you can spare any money to the cause it will help the charity donate a wig to a child completely free of charge. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of community fundraisers and receives no formal funding. I've been informed the JustGiving page was having a lot of issues accepting donations, so I've set this up for the remaining target of £310.00
