My life's work, MyOutSpirit.com, was recently cyber-attacked by an anti-gay hacker, and we lost the only interfaith social networking website connecting spiritual LGBT* people with each other and with churches, counselors, yoga studios, spiritual teachers and other resources that affirm who they are and whom they love.
I put everything I had into creating this website - I spent my inheritance from my dad and then took on loans on top of that (which I'm still struggling to pay off 6 years later). Although the site has never paid for itself, I still believe it provides an important and otherwise lacking service to the LGBT community.
Now, I have a plan to get it back! But I need money to pay the programmers to clean up the site, close any security loopholes, and get MyOutSpirit.com back up and running.
The programmers also plan to simplify and upgrade the process of joining the site by, among other things, integrating MyOutSpirit with Facebook (which wasn't an option when we built the site in 2007).
100% of any additional money raised will be put toward our mission of inspiring LGBT people to live their best lives, physically, mentally, socially, sexually and spiritually. Our ongoing projects include:
The world's first openly gay Episcopal Bishop, Gene Robinson, gave a "MyOutSpirit Address" in the Texas State Capitol Rotunda at the launch of MyOutSpirit Magazine.

Please donate if you're able, and spread the word about our need to your Facebook friends, Twitter followers, church members and other networks.
Thank you!
