IT'S FOR THE KIDS!

The dream continues as I head to Kenya to volunteer for their sports education program. For those of you that don't know, I had the dream of going to Africa by the time I was 30. Not only to see a different continent, but knowing that it would give me a perspective that was missing and needed. Unfortunately with my job, life and priorities, this didn't happen. A couple of months before my 31st- still unhappy in my job and knowing that another year of sitting behind a computer would be miserable, I quit my job and have been traveling the world since. Although this has been one hell of a ride, I am also trying to give back and balance out my fortunes.
Because Kenya is limited in the sports the play and know, it is required that I plan ahead and bring the required materials and equipment with me for the sports the kids will participate in. Given that the good ole USA has many sports; I would like to bring them all to Kenya.
Therefore, I am asking you all to help out so I can do some shoppping before hand and bring fun sports/games/ect to the kids. Every cent will be given to the cause and not a dime will be wasted! None of the money is for me and if there is excess money, it will be given to other needs and people in the Community and/or to the villages and volunteer program that I was at in Zambia last Feburary.
I will also be documenting this experience and what your good money goes to; any one that helps this great cause will be sure to get a shout out!
I will be living with a host family, where electricity and running water is unknown! If I can do this, then I ask of you to give up your coffee/beer money for today and buy a soccer ball instead... It's for the Kids!
