Sunday 7th September is Great North Run Day! i've done 21 of them which is quite enough ! this year instead i'm supporting the Chris Hoy charity and doing a reasonably modest 90km bike ride / 1,000 metres climbing north of Glasgow with him.

The ride will be quite widely promoted with the intention not just to raise money but to highlight the need to 'get tested ' for this disease which is manageable providing it's caught early. In Chris's case, he was unfortunately tested too late and his diagnosis is terminal. However he is putting 100% effort into highlighting to others the need to get tested & the fact that 1 in 8 men get this disease.

All monies raised go towards this worthy cause !
