My son never met grandparents and almost too late

Hi my name is Andrew and my son is named Isiah and we are trying to visit my parents because they are not doing well and my son has only seen them when he was a year old and my son is 9 now and its been 8 years since we visited because we live pretty far apart in reno NV and they live in the mountains in idaho.
I feel that we need to visit them soon so i am trying to make arrangements so we can go as soon as possible and any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much!
