My son needs help. He was in a bad car accident.

Hi. My name is Melodie. My son, Matthew was in a bad car accident two days ago. Another driver hit him at a fast rate of speed in an intersection. His car is totaled. His insurance is covering $9,500 minus the $2,500 deductible on his car which brings it down to $7,000 they will cover. He still owes approximately $12,000 on the car. That will leave him with a balance of about $5,000 he still owes on the auto loan. In addition, he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. We have no idea how much that will cost, not to mention all the CT scans and X-rays that were done. Thank the Lord he did not sustain major injuries, but will be in a sling and wrist brace for a while. The doctor at the hospital told him if he is not feeling better within a week to see an orthopedist and get an MRI. Right now if he is able to pay off the remaining car loan, it will help in a big way. He is recovering at home right now. He will still need to get a car to get back and forth to work or he will lose his job, which means he would also lose his home. We have to start somewhere and I am asking if there is anyone who can help even a little. Unfortunately, am in no financial position to help him. If he can pay off the totaled vehicle, he may be able to finance another so he will have the transportation he needs to support himself and keep his home. His wounds, thankfully will heal in time. But he needs help with the rest. I hate asking for anything and anyone who knows me or our family, knows this. I’m just trying to help my son the best way I can think of.
