My lovely mum who lost £300 on Cantley shops

This is my mum. She works 6 days a week 10-12hours a day and on the odd day she gets off she doesn’t rest she runs round doing favours for people and draining herself in the process. She hasn’t had the best year and just recently hasn’t been feeling herself, very low etc. It’s sad to see your mum so not herself.

This morning she was working before work using her own money (which was her rent) to get change before being reimbursed. Between the Post Office and my car she dropped it. She thinks as she got towards my car and went to put it in her back pocket. I honestly didn’t worry too much because I thought someone would see it and hand in it, she retraced her steps 4 times and rang some shops, no sign, all whilst getting on with her work before work... she was thankful for her mask today because she was so upset it covers most of her face. 

Shes at work right now until 10pm and after I’ve had some many incredibly kind comments about donations I thought I would be silly to not accept your kindness in helping her get a little bit of it back, I have personally given her some cash towards her rent this afternoon so I’ve set the donation thing accordingly although I don’t expect anyone to donate that, anything a penny or a few pounds would be so appreciated, she’s not off until Wednesday so I would love it if I were able to surprise her then.

I don’t understand people taking things like this, that could’ve been nothing to some people but to my mum who works all the hours gods sends at nearly 60 who has split with her partner of twenty years and is now running a house completely on her own, it was literally her last bit of money before payday. Be kind, £300 lasts about 5 minutes in the wrong  hands where as that is most of my mums MONTH long rent x
