My Grandfathers flooded house in Poland

Hi my name is Karolina and I’m fundraising for the renovation of my grandfathers house in Poland.

Many of you probably know that part of Poland was flooded, the government declared a state of natural disaster, many people lost all their property, including my 96-year-old grandfather. The water entered the house and caused terrible damage. The apartment is unfit for use, it was flooded to a height of 80 cm, which means that all the furniture that was on the floor was destroyed, the sofa, bed, stove, refrigerator, washing machine are unfit for use. There is no heating in the house because the central heating furnace was also flooded. At the moment, my grandfather has rooms on the first floor for use, but they are without a kitchen and bathroom, there is no running water and electricity.

This is the second flood after which my grandfather is struggling to rebuild the house, in 1997, water also entered the house and caused damage, my grandfather renovated everything himself, unfortunately now my grandfather is at such an age that he does not have the health, strength or finances for this.

At the request of friends who want to help, I have launched this fundraiser for my grandfather.

Napewno wielu z Was wie, że przez część Polski przeszła powódź, rząd ogłosił stan klęski żywiołowej, wielu ludzi potraciło cały dorobek życia w tym mój 96 letni dziadek. Woda wdarła się do domu i dokonała strasznych zniszczeć. Mieszkanie nie nadaje się do użytku, zostało zalane do wysokości 80cm co za tym idzie wszystkie meble które stały na podłodze uległy zniszczeniu, sofa, łóżko, kuchenka, lodówka, pralka nie nadają się do użytku. W domu nie ma ogrzewania gdyż piec centralnego ogrzewania też został zalany. W tym momencie dziadek ma do użytku pomieszczenia na piętrze ale są one bez kuchni i łazienki, nie ma bieżącej wody oraz prądu. To już druga powódź po której dziadek zmaga się z odbudową domu, w 1997 roku woda również wdarła się do mieszkania i poczyniła szkody, dziadek wtedy sam wszystko wyremontował, niestety teraz dziadek już jest w takim wieku że nie ma na to zdrowia i siły oraz finansów.

Na prośbę znajomych którzy chcą pomóc uruchomiłam tą zbiórkę pieniędzy dla dziadka.
