My Eviction Prevention Fund

I have lived in the same apartment building for almost 20 years now.  I am blessed to live in a city with rent control so that my rent has not become outrageous.  However, through the years due life's ups and downs- ranging from  unemployement to deaths in the family to unexpected expenses- I have gotten behind on my .  While I am now able to pay the monthly amount without issue, I have not been able to catch up.  My Landlord, who has essentially watched my girls grow up here, has been wonderul and amazingly patient with me.  Now, however, she has a partner who is not as understanding and wants the past due amount paid immediately.  Anyone who lives in L.A. knows how ridiculous rent has become in the last few years, especially on a single income and so moving to another apartment would not be an option for me. I'm hoping anyone reading this who is in a position to help would be willing to do so to help me avoid eviction and save my apartment for me and my girls.  I have been able to come up with some of the money on my own but anything you can offer ($5, 10, etc) would help!  I thank you in advance!
