My Best Friend’s Top Surgery Fund

Hi everyone, I would like to take this time and space to ask that you read this post in its entirety. My best friend and someone who is beyond special to me, Tali, is set to receive top surgery in a few months. The beautiful thing about this is that I get to see someone I love finally receive life changing care. I get to watch them finally fall in love with themself and continue to expand their infinite capacity to give and share love with others because of this. However, I’m also scared for them. The cost of living continues to rise, with rent prices soaring. I don’t believe that someone who does so much for everyone around them (and I mean EVERYONE) should have to worry about budgeting day to day expenses on top of surgery costs, especially given they live pay-check to pay check. I am nervous that an unexpected cost could put Tali in a position to pull from their surgery fund. This would provide a cushion to help overcome financial barriers.
