The Mount Washington Valley Climbers’ Cooperative is an organization working to create an accessible and inclusive space for indoor rock climbing, training, and community growth in the Mount Washington Valley. Our dream is for every single local and visitor to have equal opportunity to experience love for (and excel at) climbing.
Currently, there isn't an indoor climbing facility closer than 1 hour and 15 minutes away from North Conway. Over the past number of years there's been a group of folks in the MWV working hard to get this started. We're making tons of progress, but we're not quite there yet.
To date we have raised $36,000 through donations from individuals and small local businesses. $13,000 of that has been raised in the past THREE WEEKS! Yeah, you read that right. Three weeks. $13,000. Along with that we have 175 registered lifelong members who are eager to purchase access passes and get to training!
We've secured a location in the old train museum space in Intervale, NH, adjacent to the new Ledge Brewing Company. They recently upgraded the space–it’s just about ready to go. We had holds donated. Hangboards donated. Lumber Donated. Labor donated. We’re ready to start building this winter.
We are currently beginning a "final push" fundraising campaign to reach our goal of $60,000. This will allow us to begin the official build-out as well as cover the costs of operating for the first year. That’s where you come in.
We’re almost there, and we need your help getting across the finish line. Please donate. Share this GoFundMe page. Send it to friends and family. Ask local business owners that you know. Spread the word. We can do this!
