Disaster Relief Trip
Donation protected
Devon, Trae and I are fortunate enough to be able to go down and volunteer for hurricane relief. We will be down there for five days helping with demolition and clean up.
Volunteers are dispatched at their own expense. Also, many factors are undetermined as far as facility accessibility and lodging. In short, we have the time and the desire to help, just not the funds we may need. We want to make sure we're financially prepared.
If you have considered donating to the relief effort, please consider helping us help them.
Update: we will be working in Port Arthur, Texas with an organization called the Cajun Army based out of Baton Rouge. They gut and clear flooded houses owned by the elderly, disabled, and American veterans who could otherwise not afford to pay to have the work done.
Expenses will include car rental, gas, lodging, and food. Any and ALL leftover funds will be donated to whichever area VolunteerFlorida.org dispatches us to.
Thanks for your help!
