Murchison Neighbourhood House
The Neighbourhood House has been a vital hub providing programs and services for the Murchison community for 21 years.
The former Bush Nursing Hospital building, where it has been operating since conception, is the ideal location for the Neighbourhood House as the structure and layout allows for flexibility and multifaceted use.
This is now under serious threat as the building is being sold as part of the liquidation process of Murchison Community Care.
The management committee has worked very hard and exhausted all possibilities for further grants to purchase the property.
They had hoped to use government grants, if possible, before going to the community to seek financial help.
We are now seeking your support for the purchase offer and vital repairs for the building.
We also need funds to purchase key equipment located in the house such as the stove, computers and quilting machine.
They have been central to our programs and income stream and were purchased through much hard work by volunteers.
All donations are for Neighbourhood House Murchison (Vic) Inc ABN: 67 462 264 917
If our tender for the purchase is not successful these funds will be used to support relocation, rent and associated costs.
