Mum & Dad building

Hello, 
Thank you for taking the time to read this, our story goes like this... 
My mum and dad had been saving for an extension on their house, their family home of over 25 years was becoming a little too small due to our growing family. Grandkids are now coming and my parents wanted to make their living space bigger to accommodate for all and spend time with their much loved children and grandchildren. 
The builders started work in January 2020, with a time scale of 6-8 weeks. I'm afraid, this was not complete, in fact far from it. They are currently living in a building site. The building inspectors did not pass the builders work and there are now issues around whether the builders will be returning to do the work or not. Mum and dad have reached out to another builder but this unfortunately means more money required and their tight budget cannot be expanded. My parents do not know I have made this page as they are very proud people. They are not the kind of people to ask for help, however I feel like I should reach out and do my best to support them as they have always done that for everybody else. I would appreciate if my parents do not find out about this, I would love to surprise them with some money and video this for everybody to see.
