Mudita for her surgery

Dear friends, our very special kitty Mudita has been recently diagnosed with Stomatitis, a very painful disease causing inflammation of the mucosal tissues of the mouth. Mudita is suffering of autoimmune disease, which may be the cause of her Stomatitis. Stomatitis can cause other severe issues to her health, such as kidney, heart, lungs, skin issues (on top of being very painful in her mouth already). For that reason, we were strongly recommended that Mudita should have a full mouth tooth extraction surgery, which would prevent Stomatitis to affect her any further, and would give her a much much better quality of life, with fewer painful challenges in general. Because her immunity is currently weakened by having to deal with Stomatitis, she has also developed something on her front left foot, which will require biopsy, culture and treatment.

Her surgery is now scheduled for December 7th -- and will be very costly, as it requires the care of a very skilled and experienced specialist.

Since she will be needing to have all of her teeth extracted, she will have to be under anesthesia for 3-4 hours on that day. On the day of the procedure, while under anesthesia, the doctor will also undergo a biopsy of her left front foot. Following this very long procedure, she will not be able to eat on her own and will have a tube to help her eat. I will be needing to tube feed her for at least 1 week, until she is able to eat normally on her own again, once her mouth has healed. This will require a lot of visits to the vet during the weeks leading to the surgery, as well as after the surgery...

No words can express enough how special Mudita is. I know that most pet parents would probably say that, but those of you that were lucky to meet Mudita will understand... There is something about Mudita that is very very special, and for that reason, we would be immensely grateful for any help and support that you can offer for this difficult time.

I am confident that she will be in good hands for her surgery, as I have chosen the most skilled expert for this type of surgery, for her. We are looking forward to her rebirthing phase after the surgery, and the big upgrade in quality of life that will be offered to her following this surgery.
