Help My Brother in His Final Days
Donation protected
This is something I never wanted to make. But times are rough and I would like to help my mom give my big brother his last few weeks of living whatever he wants.
Five years ago, my older brother started getting sick. He was showing signs of what at the time we didn't know was colon cancer. He has always suffered from depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia, so he didn't really take his health seriously until it was too late, unfortunately. Fast forward five years later, the pain and suffering became unbearable, and he was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where he was told he has stage four colon cancer that has spread to his organs and bones. He was in the hospital for 18 days. He underwent surgery to remove his inflamed, cancer-ridden colon and now has an ostomy bag. Fast forward a month-ish later after being discharged from the hospital, he is now bed-bound and slowly deteriorating before our eyes. My mother has been his full-time caretaker, which means she has not been to work in three months. I have been paying the bills and grocery shopping for two households, trying to take the load off her shoulders as best as I can. I am trying to raise enough funds for my mother to be able to treat my brother with whatever last meals, snacks, and treats he may want before he passes away as she doesn't have the money to do that, and I have no money for extras at the moment. Whatever is left over, I would like for her to spend it on getting my brother cremated, paying bills, or whatever she needs/wants as I'm sure she will not be able to go to work right away because she will be grieving the death of my big brother.
