Mt. Zion High School Tribe Program

My school is a place where students are pushed to achieve academic success. In our hallways you will find students with a variety of talents and interests who want to express themselves and find future success. Many have a focus on math and science but others find fulfillment in the arts. 

We want to make sure that we are not only focusing on students academic needs but also their socio-emotional needs and that is why we have started The Tribe program. This program is based on the national Link Crew program, but we have added elements that work for our school. Our Tribe leaders are split into hospitality, transfer, social, and academic teams. Funds donated will help us run programs that show students we care about them both in school and out of school. We will use money to purchase pies and make home visits for our students, faculty, and staff who have lost a loved one. We will also use funds to provide a small gift to support families who are going through a difficult situation (extended absence, hospital stay, home fire, car accident, surgeries, etc). We will also have a social event for transfer students each month where they can meet some of our leaders and make connections. Also, we plan to hold social events for our freshmen where they can be with their friends in a safe, supportive environment.
