Our school has been slowly making the switch to becoming a GAFE school (Google Apps for Education) and I jumped on the band wagon last year. However, the availability of technology has become an issue. I want to bring my students into the 21st Century and give them the skills to be successful both at school and in their everyday lives. There are so many amazing things that they can do with access to working and up-to-date technology. From simple things like doing research to more advance things such as collaborating on a group project remotely while not actually being with their group. They enjoy being able to access their google accounts, turning in work on-line and being able to have the technology at their fingertips. I teach 5 sections of science to 6th grade students. I would love to have 15 chromebooks for the students to be able to use daily. Seeing that spark in their eyes when they get on-line, complete their tasks and get immediate feedback is worth so much more than a paper and pencil assignment can give them. Any support that I can get from our wonderful community would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance for any support you are able to provide. It means the world to myself and my students!
