Our former grade school teacher Ruth Perry, who is now 85 years old, is experiencing some financial hardship and continues to care for a disabled daughter in an apartment near Town School. She is struggling to cover the expenses that come with taking care of her daughter and, of course, day to day life.
In talking with so many of you, it is abundantly clear that Mrs. Perry made a huge impact on so many of our lives. This is our chance to reach out to a person that meant so much to so many of us and help her in a time of need.
The money will go directly to her to help with the medical debt and other expenses.
Looking back on our time at Town School, for those of us that were lucky enough to have her as our teacher, we are grateful for the impact she had on us. This is a chance to say thank you and to remind her of how much she is loved by those she graced with her kindness, her wisdom and of course her love.
This page was created by Jamie Rosenblatt ('87), Dave Grennel ('87) and Sean Sullivan ('87), all former students of Mrs. Perry's and currently living in San Francisco. The fund will be used to help pay off the current bills that have accrued from caretaking and living expenses and will be given directly to Mrs. Perry.
Dave is currently working with Mrs. Perry to allow the raised money to be transferred directly to her bank account.
