Mr Farr’s legal costs

CALL TO ACTION:

Rick Farr, a candidate for the Ocean Pines Board of Directors has been accused of not being a property owner as of Jan 1, 2021 by an anonymous tip. The board after receiving this anonymous tip gave Rick Farr and his attorney, who is a specialized trust attorney, only 2 days to provide proof of ownership that he is in the family trust. The OPA attorney sent Rick's attorney a list of questions for clarity at 729 pm Friday night 7/30/21. Without even waiting for further clarification or having a phone call to discuss with Ricks attorney, the association secretary Camila Rogers put out a notice that Rick Farr was disqualified from the election race on Saturday July 31, 2021. After Rick's attorney sent the answers to the questions and again his legal opinion this morning 8/2/21, without even talking to Rick or his attorney, the Ocean Pines forum disclosed that they were told no new information that was relevant and he was not an owner. No communication with Rick or his attorney on any of this today. The association is splitting hairs on verbage. Rick Farr attorney stands by the fact that he is and was an owner prior to January 1. Because the board is not acting in good to resolve this issue that effects all of us who voted, we must now go toward litigation where a judge will interpret the trust. In doing so, we are going to seek an injunction to halt the election until this issue is heard before a judge. This is a costly decision.
