Thank you for accepting the 'Move your Feet for SCSC' dance challenge created by the wonderful Sarah Middleton of ‘Beat It Dance School’ to be used as a nominate & donate fundraiser campaign for Sligo Cancer Support Centre. We at the Centre are honored to join forces with Sarah. Sarah is the daughter of Gretta Middleton who has sadly since past away. Gretta was one of the founding members of the Centre formed in 1996 and her trust and belief in the benefit of meaningful support services amongst cancer patients is perpetuated daily in the Centre. We are also delighted Gretta's very talented granddaughter Ella stars in the video alongside her mum Sarah.
We hope you have the best of fun taking part, have plenty of laughs & make memories to last a lifetime...in doing so you are helping the most wonderful cause.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Sligo Cancer Support Centre’s income streams which would equate to 85% of our budget has come to a stop. This is an immensely challenging and distressing time for people with cancer, but also for those awaiting diagnosis, not to mention their families. As the demand for our services increase so also does our need for funding. To ensure our good work continues, financial stability is a must.
The aim is to get as many people as possible to participate in this dance challenge and raise much needed funds for the Centre. All you have to do is download TikTok, follow the Sligo Cancer Support Centre page, copy Sarah’s dance (it takes a few goes) and post your TikTok video to your Instagram or Facebook page (step by step instructions are on all our social media platforms). Please tag @sligocancersupportcentre & nominate the people you wish to accept your challenge. Share our GoFundMe link, there is no set figure for a donation, any donation is extremely welcome.
The Sligo Cancer Support Centre is a place of peace and hope where people with cancer and their families can access support, counselling, holistic therapies and healing workshops in a caring and tranquil environment.
All donations received will help to ensure that the work the centre provides in supporting, emotional healing and transforming the lives of those with cancer and their families can continue throughout the North West.
