My name is Priscilla Navarro; my siblings and I are trying to raise money to help with our mothers medical expenses. She has been on dialysis for 8 long difficult years, and has recently discovered she is at the top of the transplant list as she is a very viable candidate. The hard part is my parents wouldn't be able to afford the meds required after the procedure. For the first 6 months after, her meds would cost about $1,200 a month, and then $600 a month for the rest of her life. The amount we're trying to raise now is to ensure our mothers procedure is a success, and to help keep our parents on their feet. She is an incredibly strong person, staying positive, hopeful and full of life regardless of all the ailments this disease has caused her. The dialysis treatments themselves cause her to feel very weak and sick. She desperately wants a transplant to be able to resume a normal lifestyle, and work again.
