I left a toxic marriage in early summer 2018. Since then, I have been repeatedly taken back to court for minor issues as a means of continued control by the other party. Now, in summer 2025 I am in court without an end in sight. Some of these issues could be solved out of court (and have been tried to be resolved) by third parties, mediators, lawyers, etc., but this has shown no success. As you can imagine, paying legal fees for years along with being a teacher who is raising 5 kids is taking a toll. I am looking for any help at all, as my lawyer needs me to pay off a specific balance before April 30th or she will withdraw. In addition to this balance from court preparation and my lawyer trying to communicate with the other party's lawyer repeatedly- I have two court dates in May and June still.
