We’ve already been to the ER but wanted to see if anyone has had to deal with this before. My dog is 11 years old and at the beginning of July started sneezing mucus blood. I had a vet look at him and we were thinking foxtail but just kept him on surveillance since she couldn’t see anything in his nose or ear.

About 5 days ago, this lump suddenly appeared on top of his head and two days ago got worse and is pushing down his eyeball. The ER vet called it a retrobulbar abscess with a possibility of cancer. It’s a risky and very expensive surgery that we just can’t do. I opted to do antibiotics and pain meds to buy him time.

I’ve received many messages of people wanting to help. I have never done a gofundme, and I honestly feel weird asking for anything. If you want to and are able to donate a small amount to help my dog, Monty, with a surgery or procedure to get this abscess removed, I would be so very grateful. I’m an elementary school teacher and have two little ones of my own, so paying for this stuff is honestly beyond my ability right now.
