Montpelier Mutual Aid

We are a grassroots effort working to coordinate a community-based response to COVID-19. We aim to protect and support each other, particularly our most vulnerable populations. We are working to support people through: delivering groceries and or other goods, and peer-peer support. As the needs of our community are revealed we are committed to leveraging the strength of our community to support each other.

We know that together we can come out stronger, which is why we are beginning a fundraising campaign to create a community resilience fund. This fund will serve to provide people with $100 gift cards on a first come first serve basis and available to Montpelier residents.  

Currently, we have funds to support up to 9 gift cards and with your support, we can contribute and fill other requests.  Our beginning goal will be 20 additional gift cards.  The initial 9 will be offered to the school community and other avenues.

The mission of mutual aid groups has always been rooted in social justice. As a collective, we understand that we are living under a system that does not meet everyone’s basic needs. Through reciprocal sharing we stand together and care for each other.
