Mom's Recovery Journey: Help Her and Her Kids

I'm a 50 year old woman who's grateful to have overcome many obstacles. I have gained strength and wisdom. I have three amazing daughters who mean the world to me. Together we've faced life threatening illness (which left one of my daughters with severe disabilities), tragic loss, mental health challenges and overcome addiction. Getting through difficult times has strengthened our bond and inspired us to help others. Professionally, I've worked as a Behavior therapist for children with Autism, a Program specialist for adults with disabilities and a Certified Yoga Instructor. This crucial fundraiser is making it possible to support each other and continue our healing.

After several years of working diligently to heal from Complex PTSD and addiction, I moved to Massachusetts from California to reunite with my teenage daughter. With my hard earned strength and stability I am dedicated to support her as she navigates her own journey to healing and end the cycle of trauma and addiction.

I've struggled with chronic illness for almost a decade and have put my health needs on the back burner to provide for my children. I couldn't put it off any longer. I am now in recovery from major surgery (Fusion foot surgery). I am fundraising to help support my daughter's and myself while tending to my urgent medical needs and unable to work or drive. My youngest daughter is a survivor of a recent tragic incident and we are working with several medical specialists to get her the appropriate diagnosis and care she needs. This requires extra time for her care and parent involvement in therapeutic programs. I am only able to work less than part time currently. I am doing everything I possibly can to work through our challenges. I have had great success so far and can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am eager to get back to work and with more obstacles before us now, I am in the position of needing to ask for support.

I'm deeply grateful for everyone~sharing my fundraiser and contributing even a small amount has a huge positive impact on us now.

Your donations have been used for living expenses for my youngest daughter and me so that I can continue to care for her during this difficult time. Funds are also used for Lyft rides to get her to her outpatient program and both of us to necessary appointments.

Though our lives have included many struggles and hardships, it has also been a beautiful journey filled with many blessings and people. I am a fierce advocate for all 3 of my daughters in accessing the services and support they need.
