Moldovan student abroad: Covid-19

Donation protected
Dear Community,

As the whole world faces uncertain times due to this horrible pandemic, I face a more personal one: making it through this university year in the Netherlands as an international student. I am certain that I am not going through this alone; there are probably many other students from abroad, possibly also Moldovan, who look ahead at the same challenges as I.

Up until approximately two weeks ago, my father was still working his job in the UK, where my mother recently moved to in order to find a job.  I was still receiving my student loan  along with a tuition fee loan (€773 per month), which relieved pressure on both my parents and I. But since the start of the recent measures taken by the Dutch and UK government to prevent spread of the virus: my father can no longer work, my mother is unable to find a job based on her profession, and I am struggling to find a part-time job to continue receiving the comprehensive student loan.

I find it peculiar to open up like this on the internet, but this would be a better platform than any. I believe that the GoFundMe community hosts individuals who will be able to relate to this hardship. What I am looking for is enough financial support to make it until the end of the fiscal year. Therefore my goal is based on my essential monthly expenses up until December:

Rent - €375
Health Insurance - €165
University Fees - €208
Internet Bill - €35

If you have taken the time to read all this, I am already grateful. Putting this message out there with some intention of letting those know who are in a similar situation: You are not alone! I study International Creative Business in The Hague, with the aspiration to one day become a wedding event planner. I love my course and all the opportunities that came with it when moving to the Netherlands from Moldova. I love my parents even more for changing their way of living, just to provide me with a better standard of life.  I don't look at the coming month with pessimism , but as a challenge to see what I can make of myself within isolation.

Thank you and please take care of your health!

P.S. as a thank you to the most generous donor, I would love to paint a portrait/painting and send it to you. I can assure you through my practice of painting beautiful dutch canal settings, my work can add sentiment to the room you are spending most your time in  :)
