MMIW USA/Staying Sacred Program

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women USA hit the ground running 5 yrs ago and never looked back. MMIW USA has come to assist MMIW and familes across the nation. We often get asked how we can do this work, our question back is how can we not do it? We thank you all that allows us continue this work and our preventative program, Staying Sacred for young women and girls. Chukmaskhi, thank you kindly.

Staying Sacred Protection Camp is geared for our little girls and teenagers. We are already doing this in Portland but we need to expand this immediately to serve the needs of our young people across the USA and Canada. We are going to use ZOOM, a virtual meeting room until Covid 19 leaves us. The trafficking numbers continue escalate despite of the pandemic so we must start now!! The best medicine is "preventative medicine" and that's what Staying Sacred is all about. At the camp out we will be rolling out a lesson on self defense, trafficking awareness, saying no means no, cultural crafting, generational trauma and most important is how we build empowerment through our culture and how to hold on to that as we rebuild our society and set the tone for the next 7 Generations.
