On Saturday, October 12th, the beautiful Wagner-Schirmer family suffered a tragedy. After an accidental fire, the building where they lived on the 5th floor, burned to the ground.
The Wagner-Schirmers have seven children: Tim, Hanna, Nina, Lilly, Mika, Hannes and Anni, their ages range from 19 to 9 years old. Six of the children were able to escape via the stairwell, however the parents and Tim, the oldest son, got trapped in the apartment and were rescued by the fire rescue team. Tim was hospitalized for two days and is now out of the hospital. Sadly, Wofgang, the father, did not make it. He inhaled too much smoke and passed away soon after being taken to the hospital. Sandra, the mom, is in the hospital in a coma, battling for her life.
The family lost everything in the fire, furniture, clothes and their lifetime memories. However more importantly, these children lost their father, and their mom is fighting for her life.
All seven children are being taken care of by their grandparents. While this hardship is unimaginable for most of us, it is the current reality for the Wagner family.
Your contribution will help get the children the resources they need to go back to school, such as clothing, books and furniture, and for the grandparents to provide for them for the time being.
We hope to raise the funds needed to help the Wagner family on the next two weeks.
