Skye's Moped Stolen: Let's Help Him Ride

On Feb. 15, 2025, between the hours of 5pm-8pm, my son (Skye Malani Recopuerto) had his moped parked in my stall at Harbor Lights, and it was stolen. We contacted security, did a report, and also contacted MPD to make a police report too.

It's really sad, especially for me (mom). I've watched Skye taking walks to where he needed to get to, like to the store, to work, to his uncle's house, to the bus stop, to beaches, to parks, etc. And then in 2023, at Christmas, he bought a moped. Yah! Hoo!

A beautiful moped so perfect it was for him. I got to see him ride away with smiles; so happy he was. But mom was happier, and happiest. Yup, he rode his moped everywhere he needed to be...to the store, to work, to uncle's house, to the beach; he even test drove it to Lahaina.

I said, "Son, Lahaina, wow, so far." He just smiled and said, "My moped when handle the ride, mom," and he said, "Thanks, mom! Thank you for my moped! It's the best thing ever, mom! No more walking, mom, although I know walking is good, mom."

Even if he purchased it himself, he's so cute, always thanking me for his moped. But I tell him, "Thank you, Jesus, son; through Him, everything is possible."

Christmas 2024 made a whole year he had been on that moped. All of a sudden, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, his moped was stolen.

Now my son is sad, furious, angry, and mom is sadder, the saddest mom in the world.

So this is why I'm trying to do a GoFundMe, so I can get him another moped so he can continue all his journeys on wheels and not foot.
