11am - 6pm Many Great singers and Groups will be there singing praises to the Lord including Unchained, Under Grace and Ordained.
Misty Golden went into surgery to have what she though was a hernia removed. After surgery she was told that she did not have a hernia but they did remove a 42lb tumor. They sent it for a biopsy and it came back as being cancerous. She has since been going through chemo treatments with her husband, Bobby, continuing to work as he is the only source of income they have at this time. They also have one beautiful girl, Tauren Golden, who is in the 2nd grade.
Misty has always been one that loved doing for others. If she knew someone was sick, adult or child, she would bring care packs for them just to let them know that she was thinking about them and was praying that they recover. She helped start what they now call, “Play Date”, where parents and their children all meet at various locations and do various projects. Many of these projects then go to others to lift them up. Currently she is working on the next play date to be building care packs to be sent to soldiers who served in Afghanistan with our fallen hero, Barry Sutton, to show our support. So as you can see is all about what she can do for others.
When she first started the chemo she wanted to do something good for someone else each time she had to go through chemo treatment. I know she once wanted to help someone with school supplies for their child. For someone to think about others at a time where she is going through a lot herself shows a true unselfishness act. She truly has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.
Bobby, her husband, has stood by her side the entire time. Taking over the household chores and caring for Tauren and her needs all while holding down a full time job to support his family. Not once has he complained. I can see the tiredness in his eyes but he continues going on. A great man, husband and father is he indeed.
Now it is time for us to show our love and support to her. We have put together this benefit singing to help raise money to help this family financially and spiritually. We have singers and groups lined up for an all-day event starting at 11am on September 26th. Please make plans to drop by and listen to some great Christian music and show your support for Misty Golden.
We will be accepting donations at the church but if you are unable to attend but still would like to help you can donate any amount you would like here and all this money will also go to the Golden family.
Thank you all and God bless each that has to give and those thaat cannot. Mostly we ask for just prayers as we know God is still in the healing business.
