The Mission of Our Lady of Angels on Chicago's West Side opens it's door each and every week to feed the poor in their community. This is the "other Chicago" that most of us can't truly understand. The Mission is in dire need of a walk-in refrigerator and freezer to house the donated food until it can be distributed. At present, many volunteers are needed to move the food from two separate locations to the site of the food pantry, this requires many volunteers on a weekly basis. New equipment, on site, would eliminate the numbers of helping hands needed for the Sister and Brothers of the mission to run the pantry!
