No one should have to experience hunger or suffer through it silently.
Mission:FoodPossible (M:FP) was created to combat global hunger, promote food security and reduce food waste. According to a recent report from the United Nations, 815 million people are currently hungry, 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry and 2 billion people are expected to be undernourished by 2050.
M:FP's comprehensive program was designed to train, empower and sustain communities. Utilizing our proprietary Most Valuable Produce (MVP) scoring tool that determines a community's most critical indigenous produce for hunger alleviation, we develop unique, interactive 2-day training modules that focus on food security, food preparation and food safety.
We currently have two tracks: Community Food Security and School Food Security.
To date M:FP has impacted over 5,000 people. In early 2019 we implemented our first M:FP School Meal Program, a unique program that emphasizes the utilization of indigenous produce for healthier more nutritious meals for school children.
This October 2019, we aim to impact 4 primary schools with our program. Your donations are a significant part of what makes M:FP successful, together we can put a dent in hunger and food insecurity in Jamaica. To learn more about what we do please visit our website here.
