Disaster relief Philippines
Donation protected
On January 20-28th I will be going to the island of Cebu with a YWAM team to assist in disaster relief. We will be staying in a camp with 75,000 refugees. It is my honor and privilege to stand alongside the Filipino people in this time of devastation. My team and I will be a vessel of God's unending hope, personal healing, unconditional love, and constant faithfulness.
You can become a participant involved in encouraging the hopeless on this trip! Please consider committing to covering me in invaluable, powerful prayer. Also, I need to raise $2,550 dollars in six days to make this trip happen!
You can mail a check, transfer to my Wells Fargo account online, Paypal online, hand cash or check directly to my mom, or click "donate now."
I thank you tremendously for your swift involvement in this miraculous trip to Cebu, Philippines!!!
Lots of gratitude,
Christina
"On November 8, typhoon Yolanda swept across the Philippines leveling tens of thousands of homes, displacing 580,000 people and leaving over 6,000 dead. Samaritan's Purse has brought in a 747 cargo aircraft to Cebu City carrying 3.6 million square feet of plastic sheeting, 6 community water filtration systems, bladder tanks and tap stands for water storage and distribution, medical supplies, mosquito nets, and blankets. They have also brought in 6,948 emergency supply kits, containing food and hygiene items. They have been distributing to families in affected areas. 9,596 tarps have been distributed to families living in damaged homes, and to provide shelter for children in local schools. Yet even with all this help, there is still much to do. It will take years for the Philippines to recover from this disaster.
We believe that a disaster such as this demands our response."
