Mission of Love in Guatemala

For my birthday this year I will be heading on a mission trip to Guatemala to do my share and serve people in need. Through non-for-profit "For The Love of Mateo", the trip gives us the opportunity to give back in so many different ways. Not only will we be visiting and helping out at a local orphanage, Hogar Luz de Maria, we will also be participating in various outreach projects to help the communities. We will be providing bunk beds to families who may be sleeping on dirt floors, care packages to those in need, supporting and serving children at schools and so much more.

My personal goal is to give back as much as possible. Your donations will help me to cover some of my own expenses and then give back even more. The needs there are extensive so the more money raised, the more we can give. Blankets and clothing to homeless, food to hungry families, craft and school supplies to kids, toys and dolls for children, toothpaste, toothbrushes and baby supplies etc. 

I will be taking my camera and filming and documenting our experiences there and would love to be able to share with everyone who donates what kind of difference you are making. I am so grateful for the support and love and I am so excited to share this adventure with you all. By donating, you will be helping me cover my own accomadations (approx. $900 CAD) and some of my food. After that, I will be bringing over $500+ worth of meal replacements, diaper rash creams, and craft supplies. I would love be able to provide a bunk bed ($208 USD) or two to families. I would also love to put together some care packages for families and be able to give some food and clothes to those in need. Every dollar helps and I appreciate you for helping!
