Miss Tamarac~Florida Petite Pageant 2022

Hello, my name is Alexus Benton. I am pleased to inform you that I have been selected to represent the city of Tamarac as Miss Tamarac, and will be competing in the Miss Florida petite pageant 2022.

Receiving this opportunity is a wonderful accomplishment for me because I never thought I’d be able to due to my health issues. I am a Lupus, Scleroderma, and Sjogren Syndrome warrior.

I was diagnosed with these autoimmune diseases in 2020 and since then it has been a tough battle. It has changed my body physically and mentally, but thankfully I’ve managed to stabilize my symptoms and take control of my life. I’m determined to take a chance to deliver my story and platform to raise awareness and find a cure for those with multiple autoimmune diseases. 

That is why I am seeking your help to ensure that I perform at the highest level. I want to lead and show how far I’ve come to prove that no matter what’s been thrown your way, you can have imperfections and still be a role model. Competing in the Miss Florida petite pageant is the perfect opportunity to do that and embrace my confidence, which will encourage all those who are battling with any autoimmune disease to know that they are warriors and to show off their battle scars. I can’t accomplish this goal without your help. Your donations will help support me throughout this pageant, allowing me to have a chance to make a difference.
