Miller Twin Preemie's (Born 24 wks)

Donation protected

Chris & Shanda are amazing parents. Little Savannah and Memphis were born June 21, 2017 at 24 weeks and weighted right near 1.5 pounds each. They are now (9/25/17) just over 3 months old, have survived, beat the odds, and continue fighting every day. The twins have had a combined 7 major surgeries and one to go with additional and continuing eye procedures on Memphis. Much tender care is yet to be given by a wonderful and caring hospital staff. Trends are favorable and spiritual in nature. The will to live is palpable in their presence. Faith and prayers are the reason they have made it to this point. Shanda is my daughter. Chris my son-in-law. They have desired, struggled, and waited a very long time for children.  I couldn't be more proud of them both. Since the twins birth their parents lives have been consumed with watching over and being with the twins and arranging for care for their 2.5 year old and of course driving back and forth to Primary's Children Hospital, most days multiple times. Hospital time in hours cannot be measured. Chris continues to work. Big sister got to hold little sister for the first time on 9/24. The real picture of their little lives is the last one displayed taken 9/25. I sincerely hope not to get into trouble for this effort but it is done with a heart full of love and desire to help. I suspect medical bills have started to hit. Chris has good insurance but they will be out of pocket in 2017 about enough for a year’s worth of mortgage payments on a nice home and of course it starts all over in 2018. I would love to help remove some of this burden from their shoulders with all else they currently have on their plate. The twins are not close to being released from the hospital yet and when they do there will be additional expenses for medical needs. They can be actively followed on facebook by searching for, "The adventures of Memphis and Savannah." I highly doubt the twins parents would ever ask for help, yet they are so grateful for anything done in their behalf. I don't know how to get this message out - please share it with friends.  If 1,000 people gave only $10 each and each of those 1,000 shared this with others and only 1 additional person of those 1,000 did the same a mighty burden would be lifted, tears of gratitude would be shed, and hands would be lifted up. Please help me help Chris and Shanda. With all my heart, Thank You!
