Miles' First Mission Trip!

Miles Mataya has been a crucial member of the student ministry at New Hope Church in Houston, TX for the past multiple years. Although I have seen many students come through our ministry, Miles is one of the most exceptional high school students I have seen over the years. Having known Miles for over three years, he is someone who finds a way to exhibit his desire to serve and lead in every aspect of his life. He values others above himself, is always willing to help no matter the task, he desires to learn, and lives a life that is set a part to help advance the Gospel.

I am honored to announce that Miles will be joining us on a mission trip to Valdosta, Georgia where he will serve and love on a community that is in desperate need of help, both physically and spiritually. There, Miles will assist in construction and demolition work as he helps those who are unable to do such work. He’ll also have numerous opportunities to share his faith with others as he tells them about the hope that is found in Jesus! Over the past year, I have really been able to see Miles’ passion for serving others who are younger than him, as well as his own peers. I know this trip will be very

impactful to Miles’ faith and God’s Kingdom.

To do this, Miles needs your support! The trip will cost $1,000 to cover all expenses. With your help, Miles will be able to go on this trip that will not only impact his life, but the lives of many others.

Again, I believe God is just getting started with Miles and He will continue to use him to do great things in the future!
