Mila's fund

Mila, who has helped so many people in our community, is now in need
of our help.  Her lovely son-in-law Chris is critically ill as a result of complications from an arterio
- venous malformation in his brain. Chris has been the sole financial provider for his four children and also the Dad to his three nieces and nephews who lost their Dad 6 years ago. Mila is emotionally and financially supporting her daughters and grandchildren, the youngest of whom is 6 months old.
Mila is an icon of social justice and there are few people who inspire me as much as she does. In addition to caring for her 9 grandchildren she has been a source of love and support for all the families she has cared for. Known as Auntie Mila - she is also a brave advocate for domestic workers and has helped many women escape abusive workplaces. She has connected families in need with care without payment. She has helped me personally many times and now we hope to help her get through this time.
