Hi All,
I have never done this before but I think we need to come together and get our friends back on their feet and give all our support we can after Hurricane Harvey.
I am writing here today for my friend Michael Serna, really known to us all as Mike. Our softball teamate, trauma respiratory therapist saving lives on one of the hardest hospital units (STICU) , an awesome uncle, loves his puppies and a secret Jon Snow in disguise. But most importantly he would do anything for his friends, so here I am trying to help him now.
At the moment he is displaced from his home (thankfully with family). Water came into his home destroying his home that he shared with his brother and family. Also all vehicles were submerged. His family home now is currently unlivable. They do not have flood insurance as they were considered a "no flood zone". As most of you saw, a LARGE amount of Houston has been affected while a Hurricane Harvey sat on Houston for a few days, sinking so many family memories in its way.
This sum I considered would never cover all his upcoming family costs, but it is a start to help him find a break from what is to follow after he has a moment to regain his thoughts.
Please take a moment and donate or share this post as this fund will go directly to a victim in need. He is my friend who needs a break right now. This will go directly to a victim so he can regain som normalcy for his family.

3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for. I am a friend, softball teammate and ex co-worker of recipient who reached out to us (teammates) while he was displaced to make sure we are ok, only to find out he was not. Most of his friends know me.
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)
They are meant for Mike and family for buy furniture, fix floors, walls, cars, sanity. Like I said 15000 is no where near enough but it is a start. Please keep going if we reach our goal. I know he would give back to others if he didn't use all funding.
