Miguel Bejaran’s memorial

On November 16th, 2021, Miguel Bejaran was brutally stripped away by senseless gun violence. His mother had to bury her youngest child without knowing the killer’s motives or the true actions that led to this tragedy. For those that knew Miguel so many questions remain unanswered. Miguel was a talented 19 year old CHILD with so much potential. He graduated in 2020 from Enloe High School in Raleigh, North Carolina and was excited to find his purpose in life. He was a loyal and protective friend, cousin, uncle, brother and son. He tried to do the right thing and showed up in so many ways for his loved ones. 

Miguel’s murder pierced the hearts of those who loved him with immense grief. Another young man that will never fulfill his full potential. Another young black man taken away from a community that loved him and a family that will forever be left with a void. 

More investigation is needed to really bring closure to the hearts of Miguel’s loved ones. The over 400 loved ones and friends that attended his funeral deserve to know why this beautiful, intelligent, and truly unique young man was so violently taken away from them.

His family needs to know what really happened to Miguel. His case matters, his life mattered and his family is seeking to make sure the truth about what led to his murder is fully investigated. We can not let this be another case that gets closed without receiving the investigation the victim and his family deserves. Because he was so much to so many people yet taken away without remorse or reason. 

Miguel gained his wings too soon.
