Michael Saves a Life Scholarship
Donation protected
On March 6th, 2018 our little family lost Michael Hopson to addiction. The day before he passed... he tried fervently to get in somewhere for help, but without money... sadly his disease won the battle. Being a long time recovering addict myself... and through his love, I want to make a difference. Without rehabilitation services... I would not be who I am today. This year I will be doing different events to raise money for scholarships in Michaels honor. All of this money will go toward giving rehabilitation services to those that are actively searching for a way out of their disease but have no resources. Especially centered on those individuals with active rolls in children’s lives. The cycle has to stop somewhere.
A persons addiction alters their brain chemistry. When treated, studies have shown addicts actually have a higher IQ than the general population. People’s addictions manifest in many different ways and many are too ashamed to reach out for help, yet CANNOT do it alone!
