SERVING MEN, BOYS & FAMILIES IN BALTIMORE CITY!

MFC improves the quality of relationships between fathers and their children, thus enhancing the preservation of families. We support men as they seek to overcome significant societal and personal barriers to success. Our holistic approach helps men address immediate concerns and provides an outlet for men to show up and change the narrative.

Program Description: The Center is a coordinating place for East Baltimore and their families to increase the accessibility of services, community education and awareness. We address specific needs through a holistic array of services that are designed to meet men, women, seniors and families where they are and move them towards self-employment and sufficiency. Over the past years we assisted with and provided the following:

Counseling – Non-traditional, one-on-one and group counseling, and other “man” mentorship programs

Parenting – build love and trust relationships with children, self-esteem, preventing child abuse and limiting domestic violence behavior

Rites of Passage Programs – for young males and adults, to promote positive male leadership within families and community

Workshops – nutrition and wellness, self-awareness and responsibility, financial education, career development and other life skills

Housing & Shelter Assistance – including housing development, home ownership, rental assistance, and other supportive housing services

Career & Employment Needs- training with pre-employment skills and job placement

Health care – free health screenings, awareness and prevention programs

Child Support Services – linkages to child support debt leveraging programs supported by local community-based outreach partners and Child Support Enforcement Bureau
