Mexico Hit & Run

Mar. 25, 2022 John and Marilyn were involved in a hit and run while on a moped during their vacation in Mexico. Marilyn was rushed for emergency treatment and surgery at COSTAMED Playa del Carmen. She had an 8 hour surgery to put screws and pins in her right leg, which has been severely injured. She has been on and off a respiratory ventilator for 10 days due to breathing issues. Our family is blessed that Marilyn has pulled through and is safely recovering, but the situation is becoming dire without the financial resources to cover the medical expenses. The current medical bill is over $30,000 US and is expected to be over $50,000 US before she is able to return safely to Canada. 

The support and funds raised through this GOFUNDME will pay for Marilyn's medical treatment and recovery, as they have no access to financing while in Mexico, and can not arrange financing until back in Canada. We want to thank you for your support, love, and prayers on behalf of our family.
