Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Sister Sarah Swoope, and the financial assistance of Mr. Avi Shachar, former CEO of Tovala (2007-2014), Mitshakeeyat Shahar Hashalom was established and dedicated to the mothers and children of the Hebrew Community in 2013.
Unfortunately, the building is in a very bad state of dis-repair, from the leaky roof to water damaged ceiling and walls to unsightly bathrooms and leaking sinks. We must correct these matters to ensure the continued use of the facility as well as the safety and empowerment to the children and parents that participate in or programs and activities. Instilling pride in children is linked to one's environment.
Ahmutah Keeyahm, established in January 2018, works closely with the current facility management. Our goal, is to uplift, strengthen and empower individuals, families and ultimately the greater communal family through both educational and practical means, while accessing necessary resources for healing and rehabilitation for those in need. Our methods for accomplishing our goals include:
Seminars, workshops, lectures, & courses
Programs & activities
Networking & resource development with like-minded organizations and individuals
Community outreach
Mentoring
We have attempted to do what we can from out-of-pocket, however the level of repairs required, in addition to attempting to run our various programs, is beyond our ability to provide.
We thank you in advance for your financial support.
