We Need a Playground!

Did you know that Merrimac, a town of over 6,000 people, does not have a public playground? People are forced to drive out of town to surrounding communities who have several playgrounds and parks for their children to enjoy. As the Merrimac Playground Committee, an official town-recognized committee, we have formed with the goal of building our town's first public playground! Who would love to stay in town and let our children, grandchildren, nieces or newphews play at our very own park? Your donations will help build a centrally located playground for children ages 2-12 at Steven's Field. With your generous support, we can provide a much needed community asset for the entire town to enjoy! We envision this playground, located alongside the playing fields, as a true community park that will benefit everyone in town, regardless of age!

All donations go directly toward the purchase of playground equipment or site furnishings. Donate $200 and have a brick with your name placed along a playground pathway! You can also donate to help purchase specific items, such as benches, trashcans, or free standing pieces of equipment.
