Mercy Lin's Adoption

On October 8, 2012, we had the privilege of bringing Promise home from China. She truly has been a blessing in our life and we are thankful for every day we have with her.

Now we are about to begin the adoption process once again to bring home another little girl from China. Like last time, we will be using the adoption agency CCAI. We will also be adopting a special needs child once again. While we are not sure of the special need, she will most likely have cleft lip/cleft palate, club feet, or a congenital heart defect. We will update this info once we are matched with our daughter.
Adoption is one of the greatest privileges in life and we are thankful for any way that you can join us in this journey. We look forward with great anticipation to the day that we get to bring home Mercy Lin to be a part of our forever family!

First of all, we want to ask you to pray for us during this process. We know we have a long process ahead and it is very difficult not knowing exactly how Mercy Lin may be treated in the orphanage or even when we will finally get to hold her. Please pray for us but also pray that Mercy Lin will be given favor with her caretakers and given the love she needs early in her young life.
Second, we need a lot of help financially. The cost of the entire process plus travelling together as a family to pick her up in China roughly 18 months from now will cost over $30,000. Will you support us by giving as we move forward to bring home Mercy Lin?
We are beginning fund-raising with Michael running in a 100 mile ultramarathon called the Pinhoti 100 on November 1, 2014. You are welcome to make a one time donation but would you consider giving by making a pledge for every mile Michael completes in this race? He has 30 hours to try to complete this task.
