Raise Men Up

In our second full year of programming, Men Up will be hosting dozens of workshops across our city (New Haven) and throughout the northeast region for young people, with an emphasis on engaging with young men.   We will host the 2nd annual Men Up Summit, bringing together over 100 men from across our community and livestreaming the entire experience.  And, we will expand our community online to engage in conversation and actions that are at the foundation  Men Up --- to redefine manhood and masculinity, and empower the  transformation of our communities.  While this year's programming will directly serve several hundred people, we are committed to building a movement of hundreds of communities and millions of people.  Now is the time for all of us to Men Up .

To do this, we need your investment. 

We are raising $5000 over the next 6 weeks to support programming for the next 2 years.  As the co-founders of Men Up , George and I are committed to your investment going directly to programming needs: from the post-its and markers needed to create the collage of manhood  in our community workshops, to the food, equipment rentals, and worksheets that will nourish the community during the intense, day-long Men Up Summit, to the tech investments required to create engaging content and sustain powerful conversation everyday online. 

With Men Up , we are committed to being as accessible as possible to young people.  This is why our leadership team is comprised of high school-age young men, as well as young professional men in our community.  Our expertise is in working with young people, with close to 50 years of combined experience.  As leaders in our community, we know that young people are the most ready and willing  to lead the way in transforming social norms and societal structures to be more equitable, inclusive and fair for all people.
