Memorial 100 Day Run Year 9
Donation protected
Our non-profit was established to raise funds to help Veterans through Athleticism. The run has gone from Richmond, VA to Washington D.C., Eastern Long Island to Ground Zero, N.Y.C. and from the original site of the Tun Tavern (birthplace of the Marine Corps) in Philadelphia, PA to the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA which was the longest at 170 miles! There are 30 runners that run over a 100 miles in a relay fashion for over a twenty four hour period with two runners at time, one holding an American Flag, the other a United States Marine Corps Flag. All the runners are Marine Veterans and family members of the 3rd Battalion, 25th Regiment who served in Iraq. During their 2005 deployment, the 3/25 lost forty-eight brothers, making this one of the highest sacrifices of the Iraq War. The Memorial 100 Day Run, honors the past by embracing the future. This years run will start at the Flight 93 Memorial and end at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
